Our services

Specification-grade hardwoods and external-grade hardware, with the advice, sourcing, logistics, machining and maintenance to see them through from specification to long-term performance.

Timber consulting

Specification advice so your timber meets design, performance and compliance requirements. We're consultants first, suppliers second.

  • Species selection. We weigh your look, structural loads, exposure and budget, then recommend species that suit, from Class 1 durability for exposed sites to bushfire-rated (BAL) timber.
  • Durability and treatment. We set the right durability class (1–4) and hazard level (H1–H6) for your application and exposure, in line with Australian Standards.
  • Structural grading. We specify stress grades (F-grades and MGP) for load-bearing work under AS 1684, AS 1720.1 and the National Construction Code.
  • Provenance guidance. We explain where your timber comes from and how the forest is managed, and supply provenance records to support ESG and government environmental requirements.
  • Documentation. We prepare technical specifications, compliance documents and provenance records for government procurement, council tenders and professional specifications.

Timber sourcing

Specification-grade hardwoods from our network of specialist mills across Australia and overseas. We rarely say "it's not available". We find a solution.

  • Australian hardwoods. Spotted Gum, Blackbutt, Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Ash and naturally durable Cypress Pine. We prioritise Australian timber from sustainably managed forests wherever it suits the job.
  • International species. When an Australian hardwood isn't the best fit, we source species such as Merbau and Kwila, with honest advice on the right choice.
  • Custom specifications. Specific grades, sizes and volumes, from F14 structural Blackbutt and custom-length Cypress Pine to H6 treated timber for marine work.
  • Engineered products. LVL and Glulam for long spans, consistent performance and exposed architectural features.
  • Job-lot pricing. From a single custom piece to large commercial volumes, each project is quoted individually on quality, quantity and requirements.

Timber logistics

Delivery across metro and regional South Australia, plus Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, coordinated around your project schedule.

  • Scheduled delivery. Staged deliveries for large projects or urgent supply for time-critical work, timed to your construction phases.
  • Warehouse pickup by appointment. Collect your order from our warehouse at 1–10 Bedford Street, Port Adelaide. Call ahead, as we're often on site with clients and mills.
  • Protected transport. Timber is protected from damage and moisture, on vehicles matched to the sizes, quantities and destination.
  • Delivery documents. Species verification, treatment certificates, grading stamps and provenance records for your project file and warranty.
  • Clear updates. Regular news on order status, dispatch and delivery, and early warning if anything changes.

Timber machining

Custom cutting and machining that turns standard timber into your exact specification, so the design doesn't have to compromise.

  • Custom dimensioning. Non-standard decking widths, post sizes and panel dimensions, cut to reduce site waste and installation time.
  • Profiles. Cladding, lining, tongue-and-groove and feature profiles for architectural and decorative work.
  • Edges and surfaces. Dressed all round (DAR), dressed two sides, chamfers and radius corners.
  • Rebates and joinery. Rebates, dados and mortises to fine tolerances for frames, reveals and stair parts.
  • Specialty work. Decking with hidden-fix grooves, cladding overlaps and screen spacing cuts, with consistent sizes across large runs.

Maintenance and inspection

Assessment, care and inspection that keep installed timber performing for decades. See our timber care and maintenance guide.

  • Assessment and planning. We review species, application, exposure and condition, then set a maintenance schedule.
  • Species-specific care. Programs for Cypress Pine, Merbau's oiling needs, Spotted Gum and treated timber coatings.
  • Cleaning, oiling and refinishing. Products and methods matched to the species, without stripping natural oils.
  • Inspection and condition reports. Early signs of decay, insect activity or structural issues, documented with recommended actions. Essential for government and commercial assets.
  • Repair and restoration. Board replacement and surface repairs using matching species and grades, plus rapid response after storm damage or vandalism.

Hardware and signage

Durable Hardware is our hardware and signage arm. Order timber and hardware from the same team, in the same conversation.

  • Project hardware schedules. The right product, grade and quantity for every fixing, from decking screws and joist hangers to marine bolts and post stirrups.
  • Grade advice. 304 stainless for standard outdoor use, 316 stainless for coastal and marine sites, hot-dip galvanised for structural and rural work, and zinc-aluminium for high-moisture conditions, specified to AS 3566.1-2002.
  • Government and council signage. Printed aluminium signs, posts, stirrups and anti-tamper fixings to AS 1743 and AS 1725. We print signs in-house from your artwork or mock-ups.
  • Maintenance products. Penetrating oils, deck cleaners, tannin inhibitors and stains to suit Merbau, Blackbutt, Cypress Pine and treated pine.
  • Volume pricing. For builders, contractors, councils and government projects.

We inspect timber at the mill before dispatch, and you're welcome to inspect your order before final payment.

We use job-lot pricing. Each project is quoted individually on quality, quantity and your specific requirements, from a single custom piece to large commercial volumes.

Can I inspect the timber before I pay?

Yes. We inspect timber at the mill before dispatch, and you're welcome to inspect your order before final payment.

Can you machine timber to custom sizes and profiles?

Yes. We machine custom lengths, widths and thicknesses, profiles, dressed all round (DAR) and other finishes, rebates and joinery preparation, and decking with hidden-fix grooves.
