Established in 1998, Durable Hardwoods has carved out a unique position in South Australia’s competitive timber market, with particular expertise serving Department for Environment and Water (DEW), local government authorities, and civil contractors. While others focus on volume sales and standard retail lines, we’ve built our reputation on specification timber for demanding government and infrastructure projects, specialising in Australian Sourced Cedar Pine, premium Merbau, and both Australian and internationally
sourced hardwoods.
As part of the Liemex Group, we combine the personal service of a family-owned business with the resources and expertise of a broader timber specialist network. We don’t stock standard timber lines for the general public. Instead, we specialise in the timber that government and civil projects demand – particularly Australian Sourced cypress Pine with its exceptional natural durability, premium Merbau for marine applications, and carefully selected Australian and international hardwoods. Our approach is fundamentally different – we’re compliance consultants first, specialist suppliers second. Our Network
Through relationships with over 40 timber mills across Australia and international suppliers, we can source species that aren’t available through conventional timber merchants. Our extensive network means we rarely say “it’s not available” – instead, we find solutions.
