Available in species for interior or exterior use

Factors to consider when choosing timber post species are- Grade, structural strength, durability above ground or in ground, stability and propensity to twist and crack, moisture content, acclimatizing coatings, location and time of year of installation.

The most stable maximum size recommended for posts is 150x150.

Current stock posts- longer lengths are available.

Native white cypress- current stock- sawn unseasoned  100x100 125x125 and 150x150 generally 2.4m 3.0m and 3.6m. Dressed posts and 200x200 are available on request.

Kwila (merbau) current stock- Solid dressed, pencil round edge,  select grade 100x100 2.4 and 3.0m 120x120 3.0m 150x150 2.4 3.0 3.6 and 4.8m. 200x200 is rare and very expensive. Current 200x200 sawn 1/4.8 2/5.4

Ironbark , spotted gum and blackbutt are generally not stocked  and not available seasoned. Lead time is normally 8 weeks from order.
